Tenants have a lot on their minds when moving into a new unit. Not only do they need to physically move into your property, but they also need to figure out how to pay rent, schedule maintenance, and set up their own utilities.
Internet is usually a utility most tenants will have to set up themselves. Virtually all tenants will need internet upon move-in, as it’s become the way that we do nearly everything from shopping and finance to WFH.
We partnered with Hum to bring your tenants the ability to shop for internet directly from their Innago portal. Read on to learn how this benefits you and your tenants and where to learn more.
What is Hum?
Hum is an internet service provider marketplace that allows residents to search, compare, and order internet, all on platform. Innago has partnered with Hum to allow tenants to do so all from the place they already do everything else: right on their Innago dashboard or app.
For Tenants: Fast Internet, Simplified Move-In
For your tenants, setting up internet during a move can be its own annoying errand. They will usually need to call providers, compare plans, schedule installation, etc.
Hum puts this process inside the tenant dashboard that they’re already using to pay rent, submit maintenance, and perform all other rental tasks, so it’s one less thing to coordinate on move-in day.
For Landlords: Satisfied Tenants, At No Cost
As a landlord, there is nothing for you to configure or maintain with this feature. Internet through Hum is a feature for tenants, available to them through Innago at no cost to you. Meanwhile, you can increase tenant satisfaction by making move-in much easier for your tenants and supplying them more services from the same, centralized platform.
The feature is automatically enabled by default for every tenant, but it can be managed manually if desired. If you do not want your tenants to be able to search for and order internet services through Hum, you can easily disable it in Settings.
However, we recommend leaving it on as this feature comes at no cost to you and provides great convenience for your tenants. Your tenants get a useful service with zero operational burden on your side.
