When it comes to property management software, you have plenty of options. Let’s review two great solutions: Innago and Tenant Cloud.
This article compares pricing, features, customer support, and more to give you an idea of what each platform offers.
Pricing
Tenant Cloud offers four plans: Free, Starter, Growth, and Custom. The Free plan gives you access to basic features like listings and screenings. With the Starter plan, you get everything included in the Free plan, plus additional features like premium leads and e-signature capabilities. The Growth plan adds features like a lease builder and QuickBooks online sync. Finally, their Custom tier lets you add even more features like task management and customization for a negotiable fee.
Innago’s entire platform is free to landlords. So, how do we make money? We charge tenants small fees for certain add-on services. For example, when a tenant pays a bill via ACH, they pay an additional $2 fee. If they pay with a card, they pay an additional 2.99%. That said, landlords can take on the cost of these fees if they want to.
Innago also charges applicants $30 for credit and criminal reports or $35 with an addition of eviction history reports. Lastly, Innago allows tenants to buy renter’s insurance through the platform. The insurance policies are priced individually.
Simplicity
If you look at online review sites like Capterra and Softwareadvice.com, you will find Innago is known for its ease of use. The interface is intuitive and simple. The design is appealing and unobtrusive. Innago scored 4.8 out of 5 possible stars on ease of use on Capterra, and many reviews speak to how useful and user-friendly the platform is.
TenantCloud doesn’t have quite the reputation Innago has in this area. It only received 3.9 out of 5 possible stars for ease of use on Capterra. Many reviews mention that it’s tricky to learn the software and may require customer support.
Customer Support
You should also look at customer support when comparing property management software platforms. Innago received 4.9 stars out of a possible 5, while Tenant Cloud received 3.9 out of 5.
Innago provides access to full email and phone help at no additional cost. Innago also hosts webinars to help new landlords with the setup process and offers one-on-one demos by request.
Innago assigns a representative to each account to ensure customers get personalized service. Landlords receive the representative’s email and contact information. You can almost always reach someone on Innago’s general support line after hours (it isn’t guaranteed to be your specific representative, though). And, if you don’t get a hold of them right away, they always return calls and emails within a couple of hours.
TenantCloud offers phone support Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST. It also provides video tutorials for common issues or questions. Additionally, they have a place to submit tickets for technical issues and email addresses if you want to ask questions or provide feedback.

G2, another reputable site, stated, “For feature updates and roadmaps, our reviewers preferred the direction of Innago over Tenant Cloud.”
Furthermore, on G2, Innago received better ratings for every feature that was compared to TenantCloud. And, if you read through reviews from each site, you get the sense that people generally find Innago’s platform smoother and more effective.
Likelihood to Recommend
The likelihood of someone recommending something to someone else is a critical measurement for any review. This tells you someone’s true feelings about a product. If I am willing to recommend something to my friends, I believe in the product and endorse it. It’s one of the strongest statements about a product’s quality.
On Capterra, 61.7% of reviewers said they were likely to recommend Tenant Cloud. Compare that to 97.3% for Innago, and you see a good indicator of how strongly people feel regarding the products.
While this isn’t the only metric, it’s undoubtedly a vital one. It’s a useful way to conclude every review of any product.
Conclusion
TenantCloud may still a viable option depending on your specific needs. However, Innago’s price point is unbeatable, and its intuitive design makes it a powerful option for your rental business.
Innago receives higher ratings in every category compared to TenantCloud. It’s consistently considered the superior software across the internet.
