As our platform continues to grow, we set out to find a smarter, faster, and more reliable way to manage backups—one that would keep us fully compliant and ready to restore data at a moment's notice. That's why we've implemented Eon's cloud-native platform, introducing a new level of automation and security to Innago.

How Eon Powers Autonomous Backups

Before launching our new system, we ran a full backup plan test to ensure our systems and data could be safely saved and restored from start to finish if something goes wrong. This included creating secure copies of both our cloud servers (EC2) and our application data (EKS/Kubernetes).

To be sure the system was failsafe, we simulated accidental data deletion in a safe, non-live environment. Then we made sure everything could be restored quickly and accurately.

Now, all production EC2 instance backups run automatically through Eon using tag-based automation, ensuring a consistent and dependable backup process without manual intervention. We can also explore and query Postgres database backups directly in the Eon dashboard without restoring them, simplifying the process of handling data-related issues. Engineers no longer need to constantly monitor or manage backups, and recovery speed has improved significantly— restores now occur quickly and efficiently, in some cases, as little as 10-15 minutes.

Eon’s Data Classification Detection feature also automatically identifies PII or other critical information within our systems, adding another layer of protection. Plus, the process ensures we meet key compliance standards, setting us up for continued growth and confidence.
